How many of my friends are remembering one year ago when, after months of hard work, we waited with anticipation for the polls to open Tuesday morning, feeling hopeful for a win but knowing not to be too comfortable until it was over?

As I was listening to Congress on C-Span, I couldn't believe what I was hearing - Repubs giving reasons for walking on past people lying injured by the side of the road. Words saying, "it's just not right for us to help these people."
